Don’t Join the Devil’s Circus

image

Men, do not join the devil’s circus! The enemy is actively recruiting men of God because he wants you to drop your single-minded focus on God to pick up the works and promptings of your flesh. He wants you to be his main performing act as he makes your sinful heart the admission ticket inside your life so he can kill, steal, and destroy your faith in God, your marriage, your health, all the good in your life!
He wants you to drop God and pick up the sundry, assorted sins, interests, and motives that break your concentrated walk with God so you can stop putting God first. Satan is actively and incessantly recruiting you by throwing all sorts of distractions and temptations your way just hoping you will notice them, desire them and reach out for them. He will keep throwing them before your eyes so you will desire them and grab them up. He hopes you will pause to look at the temptations he tosses your way when trials come and the sin appears to be easier than remaining steadfast in your walk with God. The devil will hope you will catch what he tosses you in the air (ever notice how the temptations you try to avoid seem to chase you down and be everywhere you turn from out of nowhere? ) so you might prioritize your life according to what entertains your flesh rather than what God says you are to do. The devil wants to disinherit you because he knows God promises those who love Him the crown of life. The devil wants you to drop the crown you have received by faith in Christ Jesus so he can make you a clown! He wants to transform the single-minded man of God to a double-minded clown who juggles his wife and all the interests of his life according to what entertains his flesh! The devil wants you to get lost in his juggling act of sin to stop your walk with God, to ruin your relationship with your wife, to destroy your family, finances, and health. Don’t fall for it. Keep your eyes on God and don’t get tricked into joining the devil’s circus! Keep your life prioritized with Jesus #1 and let nothing and no one come in between you and your wife! Amen! God bless my brothers in Christ Jesus!
James 1:6-15, Voice.
6 The key is that your request be anchored by your single-minded commitment to God. Those who depend only on their own judgment are like those lost on the seas, carried away by any wave or picked up by any wind. 7 Those adrift on their own wisdom shouldn’t assume the Lord will rescue them or bring them anything. 8 The splinter of divided loyalty shatters your compass and leaves you dizzy and confused.
9 If you are a brother of humble means, celebrate the fact that God has raised you up. 10 If you are rich and seemingly invincible, savor the humble reality that you are a mere mortal who will vanish like a flower that withers in the field. 11 The sun rises with a blazing heat that dries the earth and causes the flower to wither and fall to the ground and its beauty to fade and die. In the same way, the rich will fall and die in the midst of their busy lives.
12 Happy is the person who can hold up under the trials of life. At the right time, he’ll know God’s sweet approval and will be crowned with life. As God has promised, the crown awaits all who love Him.
13 No one who is tempted should ever be confused and say that God is testing him. The One who created us is free from evil and can’t be tempted, so He doesn’t tempt anyone. 14-15 When a person is carried away with desire, lured by lust, and when desire becomes the focus and takes control, it gives birth to sin. When sin becomes fully grown, it produces death.”
