“Saturday Menu”

This is Day 6 in the CMBA 1/2 Blogging Marathon Challenge to post for 13 days in October.
It’s Saturday, and I want to encourage you to plan a date night with your husband/wife for this evening. Plan to feed your spouse quality time in 2 courses. If you have children, be sure to drop them off at the babysitter’s for an overnight stay.

Appetizer: “Pick a Flick”

1. Pick out two movies–one that is your favorite and the other movie– your spouse’s favorite. If you don’t know what their favorite movie is, don’t wait until the last minute to ask him/her. Flip a coin to make the selection.
2. Cover your couch with a red/burgundy micro suede or chenille throw. Why a shade of red? To incite passion, warmth and cuddling, of course!

3. Fill a large bowl with freshly popped popcorn and have sodas or sparkling water/champagne on standby for refreshment. Free refills!

4. Snuggle up next to your spouse and enjoy your film together, but don’t doze off because there’s more to come!

Main course: “You & Your Spouse”

Use a silk scarf and take turns blindfolding one another. Feed each other fresh strawberries, banana and mango slices. The more the better! Have fun savoring the different flavors and textures of the fruit, and enjoy the taste of your spouse’s kisses.

Song of Solomon 1:2, 9-10,15 AMP~”2 Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth! [she cries. Then, realizing that Solomon has arrived and has heard her speech, she turns to him and adds] For your love is better than wine! 9 O my love [he said as he saw her], you remind me of my [favorite] mare in the chariot spans of Pharaoh.10 Your cheeks are comely with ornaments, your neck with strings of jewels. 15 Behold, you are beautiful, my love! Behold, you are beautiful! You have doves’ eyes.”

Song of Solomon 2:5-6 AMP~”5 Sustain me with raisins, refresh me with apples, for I am sick with love.6 [I can feel] his left hand under my head and his right hand embraces me!”

Song of Solomon 7:1-10 AMP~”1 [Then her companions began noticing and commenting on the attractiveness of her person] How beautiful are your feet in sandals, O queenly maiden! Your rounded limbs are like jeweled chains, the work of a master hand. 2 Your body is like a round goblet in which no mixed wine is wanting. Your abdomen is like a heap of wheat set about with lilies. 3 Your two breasts are like two fawns, the twins of a gazelle. 4 Your neck is like a tower of ivory, your eyes like the pools of Heshbon by the gate of Bath-rabbim. Your nose is like the tower of Lebanon which looks toward Damascus.
5 Your head crowns you like Mount Carmel, and the hair of your head like purple. [Then seeing the king watching the girl in absorbed admiration, the speaker added] The king is held captive by its tresses. 6 [The king came forward, saying] How fair and how pleasant you are, O love, with your delights! 7 Your stature is like that of a palm tree, and your bosom like its clusters [of dates, declared the king].
8 I resolve that I will climb the palm tree; I will grasp its branches. Let your breasts be like clusters of the grapevine, and the scent of your breath like apples, 9 And your kisses like the best wine—[then the Shulammite interrupted] that goes down smoothly and sweetly for my beloved [shepherd, kisses] gliding over his lips while he sleeps! 10 [She proudly said] I am my beloved’s, and his desire is toward me!”

Song of Solomon 8:14 AMP~”14 [Joyfully the radiant bride turned to him, the one altogether lovely, the chief among ten thousand to her soul, and with unconcealed eagerness to begin her life of sweet companionship with him, she answered] Make haste, my beloved, and come quickly, like a gazelle or a young hart [and take me to our waiting home] upon the mountains of spices!”

Deliberately take your time, explore, and let your meal continue to the bedroom–to your mountain of spices! Satiate one another all to the glory of God!!! Enjoy your date night and God bless!
Bon Appétit!
